Dr. Sara Behmanesh is a board-certified periodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, recognized for her expertise in advanced periodontal and implant surgery, her dedication to dental education, and her leadership within the dental community. With a strong commitment to clinical excellence, she combines evidence-based treatment approaches, advanced surgical techniques, and a compassionate, patient-centered philosophy to deliver predictable, long-lasting functional and aesthetic outcomes.

Dr. Behmanesh earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2008. She subsequently completed a three-year postgraduate residency in Periodontology at the same institution, earning her specialty certificate in Periodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry in 2011. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and is licensed to practice in both Canada and the United States.

Her clinical expertise encompasses periodontal plastic and regenerative surgery, advanced bone and soft tissue augmentation, dental implant placement, immediate implant protocols, management of peri-implant diseases, and complex interdisciplinary full-mouth rehabilitation. With particular attention to soft tissue aesthetics and the preservation of natural dentition, Dr. Behmanesh emphasizes individualized treatment planning, minimally invasive approaches whenever possible, and the integration of advanced surgical techniques to achieve optimal results.

In addition to her clinical practice at Centre de Spécialistes Dentaires Zeeba, which she joined in 2013, Dr. Behmanesh is the co-founder of Zeeba Advanced Dental Education, a continuing education center dedicated to advancing the knowledge and surgical skills of dental professionals. Through lectures, hands-on workshops, live surgical training, and mentorship programs across Canada and the United States, she shares her expertise in periodontal regeneration, implant dentistry, soft tissue management, and advanced surgical procedures.

Dr. Behmanesh has a longstanding passion for academic dentistry. From 2014 to 2020, she served as a Clinical Instructor, Faculty Lecturer, and Course Director in the Department of Periodontics at McGill University. In recognition of her dedication to teaching and mentorship, she received the prestigious American Academy of Periodontology Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Beyond her academic and clinical contributions, Dr. Behmanesh has played an active leadership role in organized dentistry. She is a Past President of the Montreal Dental Club, one of Quebec’s largest English-speaking dental professional associations, and has served on the Executive Board of the Federation of Dental Societies of Greater Montreal. She has also contributed to the American Academy of Periodontology through its Predoctoral Directors Organization Committee and is an active member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). Her commitment to professional development extends to her involvement in Spear Study Clubs, where she promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and continuing education among dental professionals.

Dr. Behmanesh is equally passionate about giving back to the community. Together with Dr. Omid Kiarash, she established the Dr. Kiarash & Dr. Behmanesh Periodontal Rehabilitation and Education Fund through the Cedars Cancer Foundation, an initiative dedicated to improving access to periodontal care and oral health education for patients undergoing cancer treatment and cancer survivors. Her involvement in charitable and humanitarian initiatives reflects her belief that quality dental care should extend beyond the walls of private practice.
